A while back I was fortunate enough to get a really awesome laptop bag from Booq. This has been my primary bag for at least four years and it has pretty much been the perfect bag for me. I use it as a regular backpack when I’m riding my bike into the fort and the top handle makes it easy to lug around as a “briefcase” style bag when I’m on location.

A couple of weeks ago one of the fobs on the zipper to the main compartment broke off. I was kind of bummed but it wasn’t that big of a deal because there are two zipper closures and I could make it work. I tried to put the fob back on the zipper head with a variety of compounds but nothing makes it stick “permanently” like it used to.

This morning as I was packing up my stuff at the house getting ready to head out; the second zipper also dislocated itself.

I am crestfallen.

I suppose I can grab some boondoggle and hash something together to get back into rapid-working order but man alive if it doesn’t seem like this is a bigger deal than it probably is.
